This wine is made from the younger vines by Regine at Chateau Tour L'Eveque. It comes from the same organic vineyards as its sister wine the petale de rose. The wine takes it name from a ruined castle on her property at Pierrefeu which can be seen as you make your way up to the Chateau Tour L'Eveque. The Chateau has been refurbished by Regine over the past five years and is a most comfortable place to stay as a guest. She has also done up the accomodation for her group of grape pickers who return year after year to help at vintage time.
The 2010 vintage has just arrived and as in previous years, the wine is a fine pale pink in colour with a fine layer of fruit on the palate and a lovely dry, fresh finish. This is a fine example of a top Provence Rose and can be enjoyed throughout the summer months.
